Why Study in the UK?

Accommodation - most UK Universities guarantee first years accommodation in colleges or halls of residence.

Student Loan - The cost of going to University in the UK for the next academic year for home based students (which Irish Students qualify as) is £9,500. However this is covered by a loan scheme which you do not start paying back until you are earning over a certain threshold.

Academic Opportunity - 6 Courses between UCD and Trinity used a Random selection lottery to place students after they achieved 625 points in 2024. This is but one example of the competitive nature of studying in Ireland. This is not to say UK entry is significantly easier but with far more universities to chose from there are more opportunities.

Sporting Opportunity - UK Universities compete in all student rugby leagues. Many of the rugby programs are built like mini academies with strong links to professional set ups. These allow access to a high level of coaching and facilities. This student focus allows for a continued focus on player development.
