Fergus Jemphrey

Fergus was educated in Sullivan School in Belfast, while there he played for Ulster U19s. He attended Loughborough University and graduated with a first-class honours in History and played rugby for Loughborough University throughout.

He obtained a Masters in Education from Cambridge University in 2021, and played in the annual Varsity Match between Cambridge University and Oxford University. He won man of the match in 2019 and is a Cambridge Blue.

In October 2021, Fergus joined the Irish sevens squad, and represented Ireland internationally and at World Series events. He now plays in the AIL and teaches in a south Dublin secondary school.

These past experiences have allowed him to build relationships with university rugby coaches in the UK and in Ireland. He is a certified UK Counsellor through his training with the British Council.
